Chapters 15-17 Summary

Above ground again, Cara tries to look into the jewel Grimwald gave her and see her mother again. She is unable to do so and falls asleep. Once asleep she has another nightmare involving Beloved. Cara wakes up and is so scared she goes running off into the forest. On her run she trips and falls, hurting her leg. Cara quickly realizes how foolish she was to run off into the woods, away from the group. Her leg is hurt but she tells herself that the unicorns can heal her.

Cara hears a creature moaning in the darkness and is at first very frightened at the thought of what it might be. She eventually works up her nerve and decides to follow the sound. She finds a Gryphon named Medafil who has been snared in a trap set by delvers. Medafil...
