Book II Chapters 5 and 6 Summary

As the village prepares for a wedding, Claire learns what a wedding is and hears music for the first time. At the end of the ceremony, as the dancing begins, Claire notices Lame Einar staring down at the scene from atop a cliff. When she thinks of calling him back to dance with her, he's already hobbled away.

Claire is wandering through the woods when she comes across Tall Andras building a mommet to scare the birds away from his field. She says he needs a ribbon and she helps him decorate the face of the mommet.
