Nacho's Tacos

Nacho's Tacos is Mr. Prado's longtime restaurant and a community staple. A large portion of the novel takes place here as Pen always feels at home when she works there. Xander also begins working there and this is where they start to develop their romantic relationship. The restaurant is burned down at the end of the novel and Mr. Prado plans to help Pen remodel the lot into her own bakery.

Pen's apartment

Pen's apartment is a source of independence for her after being kicked out. While she initially hates the apartment, she begins to see the benefits of learning how to live on her own and take care of herself. Pen grows to enjoy having a space that is just hers.

Pen's Pasteles

Pen's Pasteles is Pen's RV-turned food truck that Xander buys for her. He remodels the entire van and paints it, adding a logo...
