Summary
"The Day After" begins the morning after Erin and Mark discovered the bag. Despite having handed it in to a porter, she notices that the bag is in their room. She figures that there must have been a misunderstanding. With another young British couple, Daniel and Sally, Erin and Mark go off-roading, hiking, and then enjoy a traditional Polynesian dinner show. They drink the bottle of champagne, which Erin tells Mark is from Fred, and get drunk at the bar. When they return late that night, Erin drunkenly decides that she wants to open the bag.
