Chapter 23 Summary

Darcy has an appointment with the doctor recommended by Meg and Charlotte. The block of beautiful townhouses puts Darcy at ease as she enters Dr. Moore's office. Darcy is filled with excitement when Dr. Moore begins her ultrasound. Darcy shouts when she sees the baby sucking its thumb.

As the ultrasound progresses, Darcy begins to worry. The Doctor explains he is taking measurements but Darcy questions him at every turn. At one juncture, Darcy asks if everything is normal. Dr. Moore affirms everything is and then asks her if she is ready for big news. Nothing could prepare Darcy to hear that not only was she not having a girl, but she was having identical twin boys.
