Chapter 13 Summary

Marcus blames his and Darcy's incessant arguing on Darcy's constant preoccupation with Dex and Rachel. Darcy promises to change, but worries if their relationship and child is what she really wants. Darcy calls her mother to tell her she will be visiting with her new boyfriend. Her announcement takes Marcus by surprise, and he tells her he has golf plans. After arguing and cajoling, Marcus agrees but warns Darcy about making plans for him without his knowledge again.

Although Darcy's parents try to like Marcus, he doesn't help them by being sociable. Marcus is quiet on the drive from the airport, despite Mr. Rhone's efforts at conversation.
