Chapter 11 Summary

When Dex moved out of his and Darcy's apartment, he took the kitchen table and a few smaller items. Darcy is happy to see the old fashioned pine table gone, and plans to purchase one more fitting for the apartment she imagines she will buy with Marcus. Darcy decides to drag Marcus along with her to Crate and Barrel to replace the table.

Darcy instantly finds the table she has in mind on the store's second floor. She asks Marcus' opinion, and he answers with his usual indifference. Marcus looks over Darcy's shoulder and informs her that Rachel and Dex are behind her. Darcy becomes frantic and wants to make sure she looks good but has left her compact at home.
