Harvey Greene Grammar School for Girls
Harvey Greene Grammar School for Girls (or "Higgs" as the students call it) is the all-girl school that Tori has attended since elementary school. In England, it is standard for middle school and high school to be combined and separated by gender. However, in the last two years (which is called "sixth form" in England), boys and girls are allowed to combine and attend one another's' schools. When Tori starts her junior year, a group of boys transfer to her class. Lucas and Michael are two of the boys who transfer, and they both upend her life--Lucas: when he creates Solitaire to pull Tori out of her depression; and Michael: when he forces Tori to help him investigate the mystery of Solitaire with him.
