Summary

In Chapter Nine, Solitaire interrupts the concert and takes over the screen on stage. A voice says that there is going to be a big surprise on Friday and then sets off fireworks into the crowd. Tori finds Michael. She is almost hit by a firework, but he jumps into the river and begs her to jump in with him. She burns her arm, and they nearly freeze, but then he hugs her, and she hugs him. She passes out from the cold.

In Chapter Ten, Tori goes to school on Monday after watching Donnie Darko the night before with her arm bandaged from the emergency room. She has not slept, and she is obsessed with discovering who Solitaire is. She snaps at her brother and her parents. She tells Michael that she wants to stop Solitaire before their big...
