Ellis Reed
Ellis Reed is an ambitious newspaper reporter with big dreams of writing hard-hitting articles. He received his start in the newspaper industry by writing features for the society section of the Philadelphia Examiner, but he gets his break with a front-page feature based on a photo that he takes of two children for sale.
The fame garnered from his profile on the two children for sale earns him a position working at the prestigious New York Herald Tribune. Finding it difficult to get his footing amongst the higher pressure of this new position, Ellis manages to get an in with the Irish Mob, trading exposes for insider tips to juicy stories.
