Summary
In Chapter 19, Billie visits with some of the people in the audience, then takes her time changing clothes, knowing Victor will be waiting. Billie says she has not told everything about Victor. She then launches into stories of their past, including jokes between them and the fun they had. They both enjoyed sex, but Victor enjoyed having sex with a lot of people while Billie was busy in her role as wife, mother, and homemaker. She had often encountered women eyeing him at the garage where he worked as a mechanic. She lists other facts, including that he felt it was impossible to be satisfied by one woman. He wrote Billie poems and sent her gifts after their divorce, but she refused to take him back. Victor says he saw signs about Billie's speaking engagement, which led him to be in the audience...
