Chapter 6 Summary

Syfka finishes questioning the Royal Flight and leaves. Valene, Rei and Andreios, the head of the Royal Flight, are giving Zane and Danica a report on what happened. Zane says if they can find her falcon, then Syfka is apt to leave them alone. Someone infers that Erica might be the falcon that is hiding among them because she has excellent fighting skills without any formal training.

Rei vehemently denies Erica could be a traitor. Valene also denies that her niece could be a traitor. Valene goes on to say that she has overheard the people speaking of Danica's pregnancy. The serpientes and the avians are both upset that their child might be heir to the throne. They are suggesting Salem, Zane's nephew, be named heir to the throne instead.
