Chapters 12-13 Summary

In chapter 12, Link goes to have dinner at Roderick and Katya's apartment for what is supposed to be an off the record bit of fun. Unfortunately, Link can see that he has been set up the moment Katya comes home with a beautiful girl. Over dinner, Link is careful about everything he says, assuming there is a tape recorder hidden somewhere in the room. Even when the conversation turns to politics and Katya's beautiful friend offers some strong opinions, Link stays quiet. At the end of the evening, as Link is leaving, Roderick insists he give the girl a ride home. Link agrees. However, as the elevator opens on the lobby, Link says he forgot something upstairs. Link leaves the girl in the lobby and gets off the elevator on the second floor, taking a back exit out of the building...
