Chapters 3-4 Summary
In chapter 3, Link calls his agent to find out if any of his films are about to premiere in Johannesburg. The agent is shocked because Link never wants to do promotional appearances, but Link insists this time in order to hide his real reason for flying to Johannesburg. Before leaving, Link reads all the trainer reports on the horses and finds himself troubled. Five days later, Link arrives in Johannesburg and is met at the airport by Clifford Wenkins, a representative from the movie company, Worldic. Worldic wants Link to do a whole list of personal appearances, but Link refuses. When Link sees how distressed Clifford is by this, he agrees to one press conference and a reception the day of the premiere.
