Lisa lives throughout California for most of her young adult life. She moves 13 times by the time she is seven years old with her mother. Later in her life, she moves back and forth between her mother and father’s houses. This change creates a contrast between the different lifestyles that exists in different neighborhoods and parts of the state. Steve is incredibly wealthy and his house is much grander than any of the homes in which Lisa lives with her mother.

Harvard

Lisa goes to Harvard for her undergraduate years in college. During high school, Lisa views Harvard as an ideal goal for her to contribute all her ambitions. She acknowledges that she uses Steve’s fame to help her in her interview with Harvard admissions.
