Robert Baer
Robert Baer is the author of the book. He is a former CIA case officer who has served in Lebanon, the Sudan, northern Iraq and the Muslim states of Central Asia. He has also served in Paris, Rabat and India in his role as a case officer for the Directorate of Operations for the CIA. In addition to being widely traveled, he speaks Arabic, Farsi, French and German. He has worked with agents who infiltrated organizations like the Hizballah, Libyan intelligence and al Qaeda.
