Summary
In Chapter 6, During her intake, Evie either did not answer questions she was asked or gave strange answers. When they asked her if she knew why she was at the jail she replied she was there to “To know God, to love God, and to serve God” (128).
When Clint found Lila, he kept impressing on her that she had to stay awake. He gave her a prescription for Provigil, a medicine that would keep her awake, and ordered that she get it filled quickly before there was a run on the medication. Lila pointed out to him there was also a mountain of little white pills in the evidence locker. She was not serious about using them but Clint was when he said it was something they should keep in mind.
