Summary

Chapter 4 is titled You Dark Horse You, 2006. Freya Timms says she has had a dream about meeting Fred Pink. In the dream, she changed her mind and decided not to go through with the meeting. She then hears Sally's voice telling her to “wake up” and Freya woke in the upstairs room of The Fox and Hounds. She was there in 1997 and believes that the entire pub is “seedier” than she remembered. Freya knows that Sally and her five friends, known as “The X-Files Six,” sat in this very room on the night they disappeared. She knows that “several witnesses” saw Sally and the others that night, but those people couldn't say for sure which table Sally's group used.

Freya watches through the window as the man she believes to be Fred Pink stands on the sidewalk below, smoking a cigarette...
