Point of View
Each of the eight short stories collected in Skinship is written from a distinct point of view. "The Church of Abundant Life" is written from a third person limited point of view, following main character Soo's perspective most closely. "First Language" is written from the main character Sae-ri's first person vantage point. "A Map of the Simplified World" is written from a third person limited point of view, the narrator of which traces Ji-won's coming-of-age experiences. "Solo Works for Piano" also employs a third person limited point of view, tracing Albert's life in the past and present.
