Newark, New Jersey

In "The Church of Abundant Life," when Soo leaves her family in Korea, she flies into the Newark International Airport to meet her husband, Jae. When she sees where they will be living and the underwhelming shop he has secured for them, Soo despairs. Their life in the Newark area proves difficult for Soo over the years, despite all of her efforts to adjust. She once believed that moving to the States would be a grand adventure.
