"Skinned" is a 2005 Young Adult science fiction novel by Robin Wasserman. The novel is narrated by 17-year-old Lia Kahn and chronicles the first several months of her life after she is critically injured in a car crash and her brain is downloaded into an artificial body. The novel is set in the future, although exactly how far in the future is not revealed.
