Mick Stranahan
Mick Stranahan is an ex-investigator for the State Attorney office. He was a decorated Viet Nam veteran when he took the gun from a man robbing a fried chicken joint and killed him. Later, as an investigator for the State Attorney office, he was in the process of arresting a crooked judge in a strip joint near Miami airport when the judge pulled .22 and fired three shots at Stranahan. Stranahan, wounded twice in the thigh managed to wrestle the gun from his assailant and fired it in his face and killed him. The subsequent grand jury exonerated Stranahan but he was forced to resign from the prosecutors staff on full disability compensation.
Since then Mick Stranahan has lived on his stilt house in the tidal flats of Key Biscayne, relishing the solitude and the fact he is the only permanent resident in the collection of similar structures...
