Chapters 25 to 27 Summary
Mick Stranahan inspects the lawsuit against Dr. Rudy Graveline and gives Kipper Garth a list of witnesses to be filed with it. He reminds Kipper Garth that the malpractice suit might turn into a charge of murder. He then meets up with his detective friend Al Garcia who has been questioning George Graveline at his wood cutting site. When Stranahan finds out that the woodcutter is being uncooperative, he goes to see him by himself. He roughs up the tree trimmer and gets the work location for Chemo but when he starts to interrogate him about Victoria Barletta, George Graveline hits him on the back of the head with a heavy piece of wood. Mick Stranahan recovers consciousness to find Al Garcia at his side holding his revolver. He had to shoot George Graveline when he attacked Stranahan and the body...
