Chapters 25 and 26 Summary
Juan and Ndebele's men work at an energetic pace to prep for the upcoming mission. The kitchen staff prepare rations while Huxley preps for incoming casualties. Equipment is checked and altered to accommodate the circumstances as required. Linda tells Juan that she believes Susan has withheld something and offers to take another turn at her. They can't figure out one piece of the puzzle. How can Singer be sure any storm will carry enough strength to have the affect he is looking for? Tiny waits at the Cabinda airport with a hundred soldiers while Singer is at the same time talking to Makambo who waits with 400 of his own men. Abala himself is leading the expedition. Acting as though seeking employment, the soldiers have been in plain sight while waiting for instructions. Dan briefs them on their mission to take control...
