Chapters 15 and 16 Summary
Max Henley and Linda Ross go back down to the real bridge of the Oregon as soon as they pull out of Cape Town again and Linda takes the bridge. Their communications officer, Hali Kasim calls with a wire. Benjamin Isaka, their government contact in the Congo that worked with them on the weapons delivery to the rebels has been implicated in a coup and there is no way of knowing whether Isaka told the rebels where to find the radio tags or not. If the tags are disabled, the Oregon has unwittingly armed one of the most dangerous groups of rebels in Africa. The tags have only a short range, but Juan had foreseen the possibility of problems and equipped a few with long range CIA tags.
