Chapters 7 and 8 Summary
Sloane and Tony spend an entire day in a helicopter, chasing down each and every point on her map that local fisherman have pinpointed as being unusually hard on equipment. Using a long metal detector they dangle from the helicopter, they search each area for signs of a ship but come back empty handed. Discouraged, they are returning without enough fuel to check the final location which is the one that Papa Heinrick gave them. Their guide Luka insists that Heinrick is crazy and suffers from the DTs, but Sloane is still anxious to try one more time the following day. While reluctant, Tony will bend to her will. Back in Swakopmund, they unload their gear and go to separate rooms. Sloane cleans up and takes herself out to eat, reviewing the day and its failure to discover the HMS Rove...
