Ilmarsh is the name of the village where most of the action takes place. Ilmarsh is a village that was founded by exiles. It is located in a marshy area near the sea. The area became more populous when the fishing industry was booming. The area became popular when oil was found in the sea. It turned into a vacation spot. Since that time, the village has lessened in popularity. Few people visit it any longer leaving the hotels and businesses derelict and falling apart. Even more people leave the village after the horses are found dead.
