Point of View

Six of Crows is told from five different points of view. Each one has a unique voice, and the author uses them to hide information from the reader. This is done through swapping narrators before something important has been said or done, leaving the reader in the dark as to what happened. Furthermore, every character except for Kaz and Inej experience some kind of lack of information, as Kaz prefers to keep certain things to himself. All of this builds tension, as the author also uses the swap in various narrators as cliffhangers, pushing the reader to keep reading and get back to the previous narrator.
