Summary

Chapter 39: Inej opens with her trying to figure out how to escape the guards. She slams one guard down, but the other threatens to shoot her. He is killed by Jesper and Inej kicks the other one in the head and reveals she stole Heleen’s diamonds. The guards start pounding on the door as Jesper turns the diamond into a drill. They cut a hole in the glass and Inej leaps through it and grabs a swinging lantern. She lands on a tank and shoots at the glass, destroying it with the larger gun. They get into the tank and slam it through the walls of the Ice Court.
