Summary

Chapter 27: Jesper begins as he helps Wylan and Matthias up the incinerator and worries for Kaz as the alarm goes off. Just as he decides to climb, Kaz arrives, his shirt covered in blood. As Jesper climbs, he wonders how Kaz and Nina got separated. The others help drag Kaz and Jesper to the top and Matthias says Nina is already on the roof. The rest join her at a big dome and Nina says she cannot get the rubber out of Inej’s feet. He begins pulling them away, telling Nina to leave it alone. When Kaz reveals he went to Rollins to find out who leaked information to him, the others are furious that he risked the plan and Kaz says the blood is from a run-in with a guard.
