Ledger
Norah's ledger is a literal symbol of herself. She describes that she keeps track of many aspects of her life in her ledger, a practice that she learned from her father. Although her father notes that "diaries are for feelings, and I'm not keepin' track of my feelings. I'm keepin' track of the facts" in the ledger, Norah attaches an immense number of emotions into keeping ledgers (5).
