Summary
In Chapter 32, Ginger and Mimi arrive at the Dumptique. There, they meet a woman named Dee who knows who they are. She asks about Callie, and briefly mentions Casper Diggans. Among the things they drop off is an old puzzle box, which Dee demonstrates has a false bottom. Inside are old newspaper clippings from July 11, 1972, showing that Charlie was not the only boy killed that day. Ginger and Mimi decide to try to find Casper Diggans.
In Chapter 33, Ginger calls Casper’s number, and is surprised when Thomas Clarke answers and invites her over to Blackberry Hollow. Ginger heads out, but accidentally ends up at a beach where teenagers are diving into the water. One teenage boy explains he is reading The Great Gatsby at his girlfriend, Mariah’s, request.
