Chapters 4 through 6 Summary
The following day, Sudi and her best friend, Sara, are on a class field trip to the Smithsonian. Sudi has told Sara about her strange meeting with Abdel and the other two girls, and Sara tells her about Horus, an Egyptian god who stood for order and battled the god Seth, who wanted to destroy the world. As they are looking at the museum's Egyptian exhibits, Sudi finds that she is somehow able to read the hieroglyphs even though she has never been able to do that before, and she thinks that perhaps Abdel somehow hypnotized her. Sudi pretends to be sick so Sara will leave without her, because she wants to stay behind to read more of the hieroglyphs. Sensing danger, Sudi starts to leave the museum, but sees that some clay burial mounds with seals bearing her name have...
