Chapters Nine, Ten, and Eleven Summary
In chapter nine, Bee tells Tess there are three things that have been difficult to discuss. The first is her death and the finding of her body. The second, she is about the discuss.
Bee and Todd are going through Tess' paperwork, and Bee comes across her telephone bill. She realizes that Tess had called her many times prior to her death. She called one time, and Bee had been too busy at work to talk. She later forgot to call Tess back and then was gone on vacation with Todd, not letting Tess know she was going out of town.
