Section 8: Chapter 28-30 Summary
In Chapter 28, Inda is surprised Michael is still out on the docks when she steps outside for some fresh air. She asks if he has a date tonight, and he tells her he was supposed to but someone was too busy. He sketches Inda for twenty minutes, and they talk, but she refuses to tell him her name. When he offers to shake her hand, they somehow end up kissing, and he gives her another business card after she tells him she left the first at the restaurant. As they say good-bye, Inda realizes that her awkwardness stems from misguided loyalty to Raymond. When she tells Michael her name finally, he walks back to her and reintroduces himself as Michael Wiley, the man from the personal ad.
