Summary
Chapter 10 describes how Ryan enrolled in chorus class; his football coach had encouraged him to take it for an easy credit. The chorus teacher pushed all her students to audition for the classical voice program at the Governor’s School for the Arts, an advanced program that took students from all over the southeastern section of the state. Mrs. Hughes’ husband had recently become the principal at the Governor’s, and he told the judges that Ryan was nice and that Mrs. Hughes had taught him. Ryan auditioned and was accepted into the program.
