Summary
After Montserrat and Tristán wake up, José explains to them that the easiest way to undo the curse will be to, in effect, play the film through to completion, including a kind of runic credit sequence. In order to do this, though, José asserts that they need to know what runes Ewers intended to place in the credits, information only Abel had access to. He tells Tristán that his ability to see Karina means he must be the one to commune with Abel’s spirit. Tristán angrily refuses and rushes to the bedroom. Montserrat follows him, and Tristán explains to her that he intentionally let Karina drive drunk because he was trying to initiate a breakup between them.
