Summary

Chapter Nine continues as they follow Septimus, his men, and Cabell to a barn. Tamsin asks Emrys why he is alone when Septimus is working for Emrys's father, but he refuses to answer. Then, they see Neve run in with a wand and a sigil marked can that explodes. Cabell escapes and Tamsin runs when Septimus sees her. She and Emrys fight over a shed until Cabell arrives, saying that Sorceress Neve has an offer for them.

In Chapter 10, Neve dismisses Tamsin's rage and explains that Nash once asked her aunt to find Arthur's dagger. Tamsin remembers that meeting, but had not been allowed to listen in. Neve says she can use her magic to find Nash and the ring if she can claim it for the Council of Sistern which will convince them to train her. Then Emrys Says he...
