Summary
Chapter Five starts as Tamsin looks for information on the Servant's price. Three boys watch her, but only one named Septimus approaches when she calls them out. When he starts asking what Nash left Cabell, she calls for the Librarian to force him to leave. Then, as Tamsin consults her near perfect memory, she considers folklore and fairytales. One of the working cats knocks off a book about Camelot and Tamsin realizes Lancelot is French for the servant. It tells of the Dispel Ring; a relic that can break any curse, but can only be claimed by killing the previous owner. While Nash gave up on it, Tamsin realizes Madrigal and Emrys both believe it exists
