Summary
In Chapter Six, Alina showed Mal the image in the book, which showed Sankt Ilya painted with a white stag, an ice dragon, and a firebird, which was the most important mythological symbol of all of Ravka. Mal and Alina realized that Sankt Ilya was perhaps Ilya Morozova, which meant there had been a Grisha Saint, which was historically unheard of. Alina decided she wanted all three amplifiers. Mal was skeptical about this idea, but agreed to help her. They went to Sturmhond, who immediately fetched his best Fabrikator to weld the ice dragon’s scales into a bracelet for Alina. She tried out her new powers and was overwhelmed by the extent of them at the same time she craved more. She nearly lost control, but Mal helped bring her back to her sense.
