Chapter 37

Sia is horrified to discover the money is missing. She searches everywhere and calls Beatriz to look in her room. Beatriz can’t find it either, and Sia becomes convinced that she must have misplaced the money. She fears her memory is beginning to unravel in smaller ways now. She dreads telling the others about the lost money. She tells Kyle who points out that the money has to be somewhere and that it will turn up. He urges her to keep an eye on the fact that they are delivering two truckloads of supplies along with more than a hundred thousand dollars today. He says they’ll locate the money and hand over the missing five thousand soon.
