Summary

Chapter 7 is titled “Playing Games.” Bridget was told to clean the underside of all the furniture in one of the cottages, but she needs help turning the furniture back to its right side. Bridget and Delsie find they cannot perform the task either, and they call the new handyman. Sherman Gale arrives and introduces himself by his nickname, Gusty Gale. Delsie is thrilled with his name because it refers to the weather. Gusty introduces his son, Ronan, and Delsie recognizes the boy she'd warned away from the water the previous day. Gusty reveals that he once lost a boat to a storm, and Delsie can tell Ronan did not know that. Gusty and Ronan turn the furniture back over. Bridget offers part of the tip but Gusty declines.
