Summary

In L, Lee narrates and describes the events after the wedding when the photographers drove down Lee’s long driveway to his house to find him and take pictures. He chased them off with his Ithaca shotgun and then put a chain across his driveway. Apart from the paparazzi, Lee believed the weeks with Chloe at his house were some of the happiest in his life. He hoped Chloe would fall in love with Wisconsin. He enjoyed the way they could eat together at the VFW with the other townspeople treating them like everyone else. When Lee asked Chloe if she would like to live in Wisconsin, she told him she liked her life in New York. He wondered how he could explain to Chloe how much he liked Little Wing, and that it was there that he had found his voice.
