Summary

Each chapter in Shotgun Lovesongs is related from the first-person perspective of a variety of narrators. The first chapter, H, is related from Henry’s perspective. The people of Lee’s hometown, Little Wing, were not surprised when he became a music star. They stayed in touch with him, sending wedding invitations and such while he sent back gifts from the country in which he was touring. He always returned to the home he had made out of an old schoolhouse outside of Little Wing when he was not on tour. The songs on his albums were the songs of Little Wing town and the lives of the people there. Lee even mentioned these people sometimes in his songs.
