Chapters 27 through 33 Summary

In chapter twenty-seven, Grace and Sam arrive at the Brisbane house to discover that Grace's parents are home, though they are "never home", according to Grace. Sam remains in the Bronco while Grace goes inside and clears the way for Sam to get in. Sam makes it to Grace's room and notes that the cold is taking a toll on him. As he takes a shower , he knows that he has to tell her that he won't change to human again once he changes this year. At one point Sam says that he wants Grace to be "with" him, stopping himself just short of saying that he wants her to love him.
