Chapter Fifteen: Monday, July 17, 1825 hours Summary
Luke drifts further and further from the Phoenix. He hears a voice calling him in the gloom, and he calls out to Will but gets no answer. On his way to Will, he finds a six foot piece of the top of the cabin. He pulls himself onto it after dunking it under water to put out the smoldering coals. He calls out to Will and then to the others. Then he sees the arm flailing and tries to paddle the cabin top to him, but makes no headway. Instead, he knows he will have to swim for it. Will is about fifty feet away, but though it's an almost impossible distance, when he hears Will calling out that he can't hold on much longer, he has no choice. He finally reaches him and begins...
