Chapter Ten: Saturday, July 15, 2015 hours Summary
As Luke is underwater, time seems to slow. He is convinced the ship is sinking and as his mind works through the lack of options, the ship rights itself and he sees stars again. J.J. is still clinging to the wheel, amid torn canvas and rigging. Luke asks if he's found the Captain, but J.J. hasn't left the post assigned to him. Radford tosses life preservers into the ocean, calling out for the Skipper and when Luke tells him that the mast hit him, Radford grabs the wheel, announcing they are turning around. The engine sputters and dies, and won't restart. Luke opens the hatch and sees the engine is under three feet of water.
