Summary
Prologue – In 2007, the two key ingredients for mankind’s downfall arrive. One of the ingredients is the software from the Center for Automation in Nanobiotech (CAN). The programs will be used to create cell-sized, self-propagating medical robots. Propranolol, a pill intended to erase traumatic memories, also arrives. In 2110, under the hills of Fulton County, Georgia, the main protagonist Troy (formerly known as Donald Keene) awakens after years of confinement in a room full of coffins. He panics, and Men rush to hold him down. Troy longs to forget. He knows he will one day be forgotten as well.
