Summary
“Intek Aliha, The Sisterhood,” is set in 1991. Tema, the youngest Billy sister, is performing a play in Dallas with her husband, Borden. She hears someone in the audience accusing her in Choctaw of killing Red Shoes. Once the play ends, she tells Borden what happened. He says she is imagining things. He soothes her and talks her into going home and resting. The next morning, her son brings her a fax from her uncle telling her that her mother is in jail for murdering McAlester. The section ends.
A new section, set in New Orleans the next day, begins. Adair Billy, the middle daughter, works as a successful stockbroker.
