Summary
In Chapter 15, Esen wanders his father’s residence, aware that Ouyang is becoming detached. After a few days, he prays for his father’s spirit while feeling an intense hatred for Baoxiang, certain his brother killed Chaghan. Angry, he throws the sutras and says he will remember his father his own way and tells Oyang that they are going to win the war. As Esen feels his family’s purpose is to defend the Great Yuan, he knows he will always have Ouyang.
Later, however, Ouyang struggles to handle Esen’s grief, as he thought he could keep his distance. He reveals that two factions are fighting within the Red Turbans and he hopes to use their infighting against them. Esen promises to get the funds and Ouyang does not reveal that he knows the rebels will go to Bianliang next. Then...
